Green Carpet






Kerala is known as the green Carpet of India. Kerala
got its name from Kera which means coconut.


 In fact Kerala is a land of coconut.
It has 93% literacy rate and is the highest in Indian states. Kerala has the highest human development index. A survey in 2005 by transparency international shows that Kerala is least corrupt state and ranked as India’s cleanest state. Malayalam is the state language of Kerala. In Kerala Christians, Hindus and Muslims live in harmony and majority are Hindus. In the recent years Kerala has witnessed high migration of its people to Middle East and other places. Kerala has many tourist spots and is a land of spices like pepper, cinnamon, cardamom, cloves etc… etc… etc…  Rubber, pepper, cashew, coffee grow in abundance People of Kerala are conscious of its natural beauty and try to preserve it by all means.
