Missing Girls


According to government figures three million girl children have been killed in the last decade in India. This information was revealed in the latest report of the ministry of statistics and program implementation. 
Studies have said 500,000 girls a year or 2,000 a day go missing in the country due to female feticide. The Statistics show that in families, where one girl child already exists, the chances of a second girl being born are as low as 54 per cent. 
In the modern family with two female children, the chances of a third girl being born is as low as 20 per cent. The ministry said that there are now 48 fewer girls per 1,000 boys than in 1981. The crimes against girl children also increased substantially in 2011. Report show increase of 43 per cent was registered in kidnapping and abduction. Rape cases are also on the rise  It increased by 30 per cent, trafficking of minor girls recorded an increase of 27 per cent and foeticide reported an increase of 19 per cent over 2010.
 
Sex ratio is very low in Hariyana, Punjab and in Kerala.

  1. Is there anyone to raise his/her voice for the voice of voiceless,the unborn babies. the biggest crime against the female race starts from the female cooperation/non cooperation to abort the life.
